86 Points | International Wine Cellar , September/October 2004

($90) Bright, dark red. Very ripe nose shows a distinctly party quality. Sweeter and fatter than the basic bottling, with notes of herbs and licorice, but offers less definition and verve, despite possessing rather strong acidity. Finishes with dusty, drying tannins. A rather awkward combination of roasted flavors and ungiving texture. (Stick to this producer's excellent regular bottling. ) (Winebow, Inc. , Hohokus, NY)
