Black-ruby. Extraordinarily sweet, deep aromas of cassis, black raspberry and smoke; like a liqueur. Huge, sweet and broad, with perfectly buffered acidity. Offers great depth for barbera. Finishes extremely long, with some dusty wood tannins. A bit like barbera on steroids, but undeniably impressive. (Winebow Inc., Hohokus, NJ)
