More About This Wine
About Domaine Francois Raveneau
Named for its original proprietor, who, sadly, left us in 2000, Domaine Francois Raveneau is a goliath in Chablis. Raveneau's two sons, Bernard & Jean-Marc, now continue the family tradition, maintaining a commitment to natural wine.
95(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2002
Knockout perfumed, high-pitched nose of dusty stone, iodine, talc, lime skin, menthol and licorice. A wonderfully dense wine with outstanding intensity and grip. The powdered stone element gives this an amazingly tactile quality, and the citrus and light oak spice notes add complexity. Wonderfully subtle, slow-building, spicy finish; the typical dry edge of the cru does not block the wine great persistence. Other Recommended Chablis
