Ripe nose currently dominated by smoky, roasted oak. Livelier in the mouth than the regular sauvignon bottling, with hay and spice flavors perked up by sound acidity. But the wine's fruit component is currently overshadowed by a somewhat tannic oak element on the back end.

Deep straw color with a bouquet of melons, minerals, and hints of tarragon. Crisp and dry, there is good citrus character, hints of nuts and mineral, bright acidity, and a touch of honeydew.
Great wine for the money!
