($45) Harvested the same day as the Klaus, November 18, this comes on strong, almost stinky, with aromas of lemon oil, musk and daffodils. The palate is very glossy in texture and loaded with sweetly suggestive inner-mouth esters. The finish is forceful, but lacks quite the clarity and distinctive minerality exhibited by this year's Prager gruner veltliner from Achleiten. Potential 1 star.
