This is so wonderful to experience a 2009 fetzer cabernet sauvignon for only $4.47 here at Central Market in Dallas Texas.
I could not believe that

I rated this 2007 inexpensive Cab five stars! The vine is pleasantly viscous, very nice clean ruby color, dry just right with nice after-taste. I had only one single bottle of this to try and am planning to buy few cases; just hope that this one was not just the only one bottle that is good, but other people rated it positively as well. The tasting was blind one. I did not try the magnum. I let the vine to breathe for something like 30 minutes before tasting.
Great Every Day Wine!

My wife and I love Five Rivers Cab, which is, I believe, owned by the same company that makes Fetzer Cab. "The Wine Trials" strongly suggested the Fetzer Cab, so we just tried it, and really enjoy it. It's a little lighter than Five Rivers, but we strongly recommend trying a bottle. At around $7.00, you can't go wrong!
Wow!

What can I say for the price? This wine is great. Has the exact taste and flavor that we look for. Not too fruity, lots of oak flavor running around. Will definitely add this to our list of must buys.

Hints of oak, even apple that is not dry and goes down smooth. Great value wine ...and "earth friendly"
Great cab for the price

What a pleasant surprise this was. After reading reviews on these pages I tried the Fetzer cab and was blown away. What a great deal for the money. Only problem we have is keeping enough around for our friends since we had them try it.Seems they come to visit more now!! Great deal for the price.

Nice cab. Black Cherry forward with hints of spice and chocolate on the nose. Long finish is a bit on the bitter side but I still enjoyed it. Good value.
Nice surprise for under $10

Excellent every day wine. This is a medium body wine that has a very good taste and is quite a bargain for only $5.97.
Easy Drinking Cabernet

This is one of our less expensive favorite. It's not a true full bodied wine but can hold it's own. Great as an everyday wine. Goes well with beef or pasta dishes.
Nice surprise

For the money this is a great Cab. I reserve 5 stars for wines like Almaviva, Chateau Montelena Cab, Silver Oak etc. but for less than 6 bucks this wine goes into my weekly rotation. My wife and I enjoyed this after a bottle of Oak Grove ($8), this was a true find in the sub $10 range. Light fruit forward and little tannins, not a big bold cab but an easy drinking one.

About California

It is remarkable that an industry essentially less than a half-century old could capture the attention of the American wine-buying public to the degree that California has. Powerful consumer interest in California wine is driven by two major factors. The more obvious reason is that California's best wines, which come from grapes grown in...

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon built its reputation on Bordeaux's Left Bank. Here, in the district of Medoc, the varietal is the key component of blended wines that also may include some Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and even Malbec and Petit Verdot. Moving slightly south, Cabernet Sauvignon meets Merlot in roughly equal proportions in the red wines of Graves. In both of these Bordeaux regions, the top bottles...
