I was originally looking for the Cuvee Alexandre, but saw this and decided to give it a try. Wow! Nice structure, full fruit flavor with slight buttery texture, ending with a hint of oak - all for under $10.

This is a real bargain for a refreshing, fuity chardonnay. Lots of citrus flavor, a hint of oak, and a surprising acid finish. It went well with marinated shrimp and scallops this summer. Quite different from the Cuvee Alexander, I might add, in style and flavor. Both are excellent bargains.
