Great merlot if you ignore the sediment at the end of the bottle!
A great find for amateurs.

This wine is a great deal for the money. While not comparable with the better (more expensive) Merlots, it is not too far behind in taste.

For those of you who are not wine snobs this is a great value for such a low to medium priced merlot.

A bold fruity mouthful that is smooth as silk. Perfect match to a plateful of cheeses, olives and bread. Strong middle and a long pleasant finish.

but Cocha y Toro offer better tasting wines with the cabernet and rose frontera
decent after decanting

Pat had this wine in Chile. We decanted it for an hour and it was nice, but a little chalky. We corked the rest and drank it the next day, and it just felt flat. Some of our cheaper wines taste better the next day, but this one we should definitely consume in one evening.
