I don't like overly-sweet wines, but I do like a nice, fruity-yet-dry Riesling. I'd seen this wine recommended as a "value wine of the week" somewhere, with pretty good reviews, so I figured for $4.99/bottle I didn't have much to lose. My husband I both thought it had a very astringent taste, not very fruity, and generally not very palatable. I wouldn't go so far as to say "undrinkable" or "offensive," but for a couple of bucks more there are wines that we like much better (the Washington Hills Gewurstraminer, for example, at $7.99) Not a total loss, though, as it is dry enough to use as a cooking wine, and a glassful made my pasta with sausage and swiss chard very happy :)
