Expected More from this Grand Cue

My 2000 presented deep purple. Corked and poured this wine at dinner. It opened up with a pleasant earthy, leather, and a light rose aroma. Noticeable but ripe tannin levels after 20 min of decanting. This complex /full-body wine starts with a slight eucalyptus and tobacco flavor. It later opened up with a plum and dried raisins, and finishes with a hint of bitter dark chocolate. Very well balanced with a solid but short finish. Good wine. I expected more from Grand Cue in Margaux.
