The 2000 Pagodes hits you with just about every aromatic trait you will commonly find in the wines of Bordeaux...there are just to many to mention but my favorite were creasote, acacia, melted stones, grilled nuts, cumin, shoe leather and tree bark. The attack is like silk, expressive of melted white chocolate, smokey black cherry and a bit of green from jalapeno. Medium bodied with well integrated acids. The wine does seem to be somewhat troubled with bitterness on the mid-palate and VA on the finish. Food will love this wine, try cumin-sage rubbed roasted rack of lamb. (88/100)
