Deep, saturated ruby-red. Quite closed and cool on the nose, with hints of mint, herbs and pepper. Offers surprising intensity but could use more sweetness and flavor development. Finishes with slightly drying tannins. Guthrie says this will age well, but it seems a bit underripe to me.
