good basic chianti

Great chianti for casual drinking, you can't beat it for the price!
Consistent bottle to bottle
by Gunter14140757
I have to give this 4 stars just because I can always trust the consistency, not too dry nor too sweet and it has been a staple in our household for 20 years. I have fooled people who think they are experts.
Decent Jug Wine.
by Collins10736288
Let's be real. Anyone expecting anything more than palatable jug wine is only fooling themselves. That being said, slightly chilled, and given a chance to open a little, this is a very exceptable wine for the money. There's precious little "varietal" characteristics to comment on, but it is easier to drink than the soured out, green, tart Cabs in the lower echelons. I would echo the other reviews. It's a good "pizza wine", a good "night before pay day wine" and very good if / when you are "down on your luck". Three stars for value.
