The Best Vouvray!
For years this has been my favorite Vouvray! Thank you Bougrier for another good year (2009). My friends were quite surprised by it, even my red wine drinking friends. My white wine friend fell in love with it. Must try. Great aperitif wine, or with meal, or sipping all by itself!
not too sweet, very smooth, excellent value
This white is a winner at the price. Very good initial palate, good blend of slight sweetness but good balancing acidity to give a smooth follow. Crisp and sharp flavors-not bulky and cumbersome like chards. The hint of sweetness does not preclude serving with food.
Enjoyed it very much
I have not had a lot of white wine experience and this was very good! Light and kind of sweet.
Almost 5 Star
2009 - A Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley. Nice degree of sweetness. Nectarine with a white peach finish. Delightful.
Very Good middle of the road white, This makes a great hostess gift.
Nice hint of pineapple and lemon, not sweet at all as I expected from the scent. Would be good with chicken and the slight acidity would go nicely with cream sauces. No finish per se, but a good table wine. Would recommend.
Sweet, but not, fruity, really excellent, drier finish then most sweet wines. Definitely buy again. A good value at 9.99

This 2003 is a good wine at $9. It is quite fragrant and easy to drink, well balanced. It went well with chocolate mousse. I detected a hint of pineapple.
The 2004 is similar to the 03, but sweeter. It's a bit much for dinner, but would be great with dessert or alone after a meal. There's melon, honey and a touch of lemon.
This is a pretty consistent wine. The 2006 had pineapple, tropical fruit, and citrus. It was a bit acidic, though.
A little sweet, but not too much.
Good Aperitif Wine!
Slightly sweet with good texture and finish. Very balanced with pineapple and melon flavors.
Not my cup of tea, necessarily, but not bad--try if you like sauv blancs and want to branch out a bit. Wouldn't spend $10 on it a second time, however.
Bougrier Vouvray (Chenin Blanc)
Slightly sweet wine. Enjoyable wine with a taste of cream and hazelnut. Serve with spicy food or a salad.
pear, melon, slightly sweet, the French equivalent of a Reisling
Not offensive but ...
Slightly sweet, but not as sweet as I would expect for a good Vouvray. Polite but not very interesting. Virtually no finish at all.
Decent, but even at this price point you can do better.
