I opened a 2000 Chateau Saint Michelle Cab last night with a meal of black angus beef. I let the juice breathe for a long while. It was very impressive. Bold, full-bodied, with long finish. No bitterness. For the price, I give it 5 stars.

Enjoyed this wine in an italian rest. in Bellevue, WA. Liked it so much I found a wine store and brought home 3 bottle. I like it's bold, but smooth taste. So happy that Total Wine keeps it in stock.

SLightly too ripe and sugary, saved by a long, buttery finish that makes this drinkable as an inexpensive experience in cab.

2004 - Needs to breathe...a lot. After 15-30 mins a lot better. Pepper, blueberry and blackberry nose. Very smooth going down with hints of spices and shows obvious oak aging. Very full bodied that entirely fills the mouth. For the price, great deal. Had this with pasta and worked well, but would probably work better with red meat dishes.

This wine is smooth and delicious. A great everyday Cab. I highly recommend at this price point.

A solid 91 in my book. Inexpensive, but never lacking in quality. This reminds me a LOT of Sonoma County wines -- for which I have an affinity. Very bold, yet smooth palate. Front-loaded with an immense fruit/vanilla/leather/oak culmination. Soft tannnis compliment this wine nicely, and the finish is superior to most 3 and 4 times its price. Goes great with grilled meat, blackened fish, or just on its own.

Liked the Merlot of the same label a bit better , but this is a great everyday wine. Agreeable to any palate.

A little disappointing compared to their Merlot, this 2005 CSM Cab was about as "ordinary" as it gets. A strong petrol nose, thick asphalt and leather palate and a ragged dusty finish doesn't scream "Buy Me again!" There is no shortage of other pedestrian West Coast Cabs at this price point. Sorry, but thems the lumps!

My first review was in 07/07, and it's still a typical, inexpensive, west coast, mass-produced Cabernet. Medium-bodied, undistinquished berry notes, short, pleasant finish. Lacks any unique characteristics. The 2001 vintage was a very good wine, however, the 2003 is a very disappointing effort from Washington State's oldest winery. You can find much better wines for a little more cost ($25-30). Try their Cab or Syrah from the Ethos label. The other reviews of this wine are too generous and inflated with 4-5 star reviews (is this really your top wine?). NOT a good "everyday" wine - why would you want to drink a mediocre wine everyday? Sorry.
