First tried this malbec at a tasting years ago. It is still by far my favorite malbec, and one of my favorite reds.
What a red head!

After trying different Malbecs, none compare to this one. It has a smoky flavor that has made it my favorite red wine. It blends wonderfully with traditional red wine dishes and is super with barbecue. Do yourself a favor and try it!

This is a perfect Value wine. Don't expect it to top the all time list but if you drink a lot of wine, like I do, this wine will certainly not disapoint. Plus, at this price, you can't do any better, comparatively. Takes like a much more expensive wine. Is under priced, if you ask me.
Great Table Wine

This wine is a terrific table wine. It has smooth tannins and just the right acidity for me. A definite "buy again".

You can't go wrong for the price. A nice tasting Malbec with hints of chocolate and spice. This wine is a bargain.

I was given a bottle of 2005 and I have to say, as a fan of Malbecs, that it was one of the smoothest, tastiest Malbecs I have ever had. Can't believe it is so inexpensive!
The 2006 is not as good as the 2005

I tried this wine at a restaurant and absolutely loved it. Lots of flavor and well balanced. At this price you simply can't go wrong.

Deep purple color with dark black fruit(blackberry, raspberry) and spicy nose. I found that the dark fruit notes were uneven, but wonderful when they peaked through. Solid semi-dry finish with a touch of cocoa/coffee. I believe decanting (which I do not typically do) would improve the even-ness and bring the dark fruit notes out better.
Full bodied red

A little edgy out of the bottle. But decanting this wine smoothes out the rough edges considerably and brings out the fruit. Complex and enjoyable.

I'm not a huge fan of Malbec, but this 2002 is a hearty and easy to drink wine that can be enjoyed by itself or with a variety of foods. I'd say it's a very good value.
The finish is dry with oak and a touch of pepper. There's noticeable cherry on the palate with fruit and a hint of vanilla on the nose.
Live from Argentina!

We just returned from a most delightful culinary odyssey in B.A. Argentina. I tried the Alamos with bife de chorizo (prime steak) dinner in Buenos Aires. Simply the most delicious for the buck. I bought a bottle from the grocery store in BA to bring back. I wish I had the luggage to purchase more!!!
Great with strong flavors

This is an excellent wine for pairing with food with strong flavors - wine is able to hold it's own, but isn't too complex to be enjoyed by itself.
Very good

Very good, especially given the price. Finca Flichman is clearly better, however, so pay the extra dollar and get it instead.
Average at best

With all the hype surrounding this wine, I had to tase it. It is an average buy at $8. I expected fireworks but got snakes and sparklers. A little astringent and a Brawny body. I did enjoy the fruity flavors in the background and the long finish. I will buy and taste another bottle and give a better opinion based on that later.

This wine has a very earthy smell--too powerful for me to enjoy. The rest of the dinner party thought it was ok; I did not.
