86 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2001

Medium ruby. Varietally accurate nose offers a full gamut of aromas: blackberry, mushroom, leather and underbrush. Sizable and intensely flavored on the palate, with berry fruits complicated by a slight gaminess and a spicy, vanillin finish. A bit rough and rustic in texture, but with plenty of character.
