About Ravenswood Winery

Ravenswood Winery has humble origins, beginning in 1976. This was the year Joel Peterson harvested his first crop of Zinfandel. Not from his own vines, however, Joel consistently sourced grapes from vineyards in Sonoma County and Napa Valley. At first it wasn’t by choice, he simply couldn’t afford to buy land. If you can get the 2002, do so for an exceptional buttery finish. 2003 not the match but still nice.
A very nice Chardonnay, well priced

After drinking their Vint. Blend Zin for years, I finally tried their VB Chard, and was quite pleased - good flavors, a bit oaky, but fine with food, or for a predinner sip.
