About Seghesio Family Vineyards
The Seghesio family are true veterans in the world of California wine. After all, they first planted vineyards in Sonoma County in 1895. Only in the last three decades, however, have they started estate bottling their own wines. Since then, they've established a reputation for classic, pliant Zinfandels, with intense dark berry fruit, hints of black pepper and spices, and oak in the background.

This wine needs about 1/2 hour to 45 min to come out. It is really deep and fruity and spicy - its my current favorite and I have not found another Zin I like as much.

This is a great, complex Zin, yet very drinkable. I bought out the store and called in bottles from the other stores.

The Seghesio Family has been producing Zinfandel in the Alexander Valley of California since 1895. The vineyard is now managed by the fourth generation of the family and their experience shines through in their wonderful big Zinfandels. I highly recommend them especially the Old Vine and Home Ranch production. Drink now.

Maybe it should be decanted?
The last bottle I had was overpowered by spice and tannins. I like the blue label better!
