About Rosenblum Cellars

With no vineyards of its own, Rosenblum Cellars’ home base is a giant hangar next to the docks in Alameda. Here, winemaker John Kane directs his focus to Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Syrah…but mostly Zinfandel. They like it so much at Rosenblum that they make over 20 varieties.

'Till the right one comes along...

If this is not the right one it'll do 'till the right one comes along. Took some friends to dinner and ordered this one and we were really blown away. Ordered another one and at $50 a copy in the restaurant I didn't feel ripped off. I usually do especially knowing what the over the counter price was. A good heavy red well oaked with a long finish. Have had it since, haven't changed my opinion.

It's not often that you find a wonderful wine at an everyday cost. This is it.

Rarely do I get pleasantly surprised at my first sip of this zin. We were having our Easter brunch with this wine and leg of lamb. Simply superb!
Good California Zin

Rosenblum wines are consistently good. This zin is rich and full bodied; a very drinkable wine. It lacked the peppery finish that I like in California Zins, so only 4 stars.

One of the best zins at an affordable price. Relax and enjoy.

Powerful consumer interest in California wine is driven by two major factors. The more obvious reason is that California's best wines, which come from grapes grown in...

Zinfandel

Zinfandel is not the rage it was in the 1980s and early 1990s, as there are now too many wines made from overripe fruit or from young vines, or overwhelmed by excessive use of new barrels. Today's Zin styles range from elegant, taut, and claret-like midweights to superripe and potty behemoths, with off-the-charts...
