Sutter Home's is the rags to riches tale of two Italian brothers making it big. John and Mario Trinchero came to Sutter Home in 1948, starting out on land first planted in 1876, . In the early 1970's they revolutionized American wine, producing the first White Zinfandel. 40 years later they are the fifth largest producer in the United States.

This is the wine that first turned me on to cabs. Though the finish is a little harsh, I suppose it would do with fatty foods. Great aromas, very full, great characteristic cab

I have tasted just about every wine by Sutter Home and it is the worst wine I've ever tasted. The Cabernet smells like motor oil n tastes even worse!
