...that tastes like it could easily cost twice as much! an enticing nose, nice spice, and some dark notes that we really liked. Buy it now because I bet it will go up in price next year!

This was recommended to me at a restaurant and I was suprised at how great this was. Smooth and mellow, not overly tannic. The Franciscan Merlot is what I compare all other merlots to.

WHY DOES THIS VINEYARD NOT GET ALL THE CELEBRATED WRITE-UPS OF OTHER VINEYARDS? EVERYTHING THEY TOUCH TURNS TO GOLD, I'M OFFICIALLY A HUGE FAN...TRY THE MAGNIFICAT, IT'S UNBELIEVABLE.

Not your father's merlot, this stuff has a heady scent with expressive fruits on the nose, lingering finish. Tannic at first taste, it mellows to red purity in soft oak on second taste. A great starter wine @ Olive Garden. Who says anything but merlot!?
Very Smooooth

With a similar smooth after-taste as their Cab, this Merlot is an incredible value. It has loads of complex flavor, yet with a very pleasent finish that can only be described as "yummy." One of my favorites.

From Mount St. Helena to the city of Napa, the valley is defined by two north-south ridgelines of the Coast Range Mountains.

A wave of Merlot plantings followed, frequently in soils and microclimates completely inappropriate for this variety, and the market was soon...
