Was 1 or 2 in every Blind Tasting

by Sasser12929232
As a single woman I don't have the money to buy the pricey wines some of my friends purchase. So I decided to do some blind tastings. I did 5 of them with 6 - 10 people each. Everyone brought their favorite wine, from $5 - $50. Robert Mondavi PS was #1 or #2 in EVERY tasting. It is now my house wine.
Nice for the price

This is the best wine to have in stock for those last minute get together. Can serve it with the main course or with a cheese platter snack. I try to keep several bottles on hand. Save the expensive ones for special occasions.
Definitely a favorite

I have loved this wine since my husband had a bottle awaiting us in our hotel room in Napa Valley. Great taste at a very affordable price.

A really nice cabernet at a really nice price. Would still be a nice cab at $5-$8 more. Smooth, big, not too much tannin.
A real crowd pleaser

I served this wine along with several others at my daughters engaement party. Although I had several other pricer reds this wine got great compliments. It was recomended by a friend and I was glad I served it. Very fruit forward and a nice clean finish. A great deal for the money.

This is good. I like the full plum tones and light tannins. Probably the best cab I've had in this price range.
Very good Cabernet for the price!

For the price, you can't beat this Cabernet. It's available just about anywhere, and great taste for the price.

Spices, dark fruits, tobacco in the nose, same with the taste. A little thin, with a very short finish. Tannins are pretty strong in this wine. I gave it four stars because of it's value. This is a great everyday wine for the everyday drinker like myself. This is a great tasting cab for the money.
Yum!

Very nice, especially for the price. Good body, depth, some spice. Plum, fruit, pepper...
harsh

Dry, overly hard or harsh taste, tasted grape seeds on the palate in the after-taste. Dark color. Three stars, there are better vines for less. See my opinion on Fetzer's Valley Oaks Cab.
Not bad, but wouldn't buy again

I found this wine to have overly tobacco tones. It is also not very full, i.e. you don't get the cab experience. Finish is ok, not bad, but flat. There are a lot of very good cabs to choose from, I don't think this wine stands up against the competition at similar prices
An unpleasant experience

Look elsewhere. There are a lot of very nice wines priced less, and in this price range, you can try a lot!
