5 stars for Newton Chardonnay

Round, ripe and comforting, with abundant oak but also abundant fruit and good acidity. Nice tropical fruits and some real zing. Classy, with presence, but not heavy. Best of Tasting This is an even better accolade than a 90 pt score in Spectator. Consider that over 50 wines were tasted blind and Newton (hand's down) was the best in show. You cannot get a more ringing endorsement.
