What a Bithday Dinner
by weyuker14100672
Several years back my parents took me to Ruth Christs for my Birthday Dinner. They were not big wine peole like I was. So I told them that I would buy the Wine if they got Dinner. So I found that Ruth Christs' had "Clos Du Val" on the wine list. At that time they were serving the huge 1997 vintage Cab. This was one of the all time greatest Wine/Dinner memories of my life. I think my parents loved it too.

One of our favorite house wines. Consistant year after year.
Excellent Cab
by elcaballo
I enjoyed this fine wine at PF Chang's during my meal a few days ago. I enjoyed it so much I bought a couple bottles the next day. I brought some over to my in-laws house yesterday. My father in law has been a wine lover for years, and thoroughly enjoyed this wine. Intense and complex, this wine is worth the price by far.

A great full bodied Cab. For the price, one of the best!
Clos du Val - a staple at my house
by Bateman12210338
Clos du Val is a tremendous bargain. Very robust Cab with just the right amount of fruit and spice. I love that initial flavor burst, but its not over yet. This wine has a great finish as well. While not overly complex, Clos du Val never, ever disapoints. A staple....
A Worthwhile Cab at twice the price

This is a full bodied spicy cab with a lot of character and a lingering finish. Excellent with steaks/chops and spicy food. Really nice wine.

From Mount St. Helena to the city of Napa, the valley is defined by two north-south ridgelines of the Coast Range Mountains.

Varietal Image
Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon built its reputation on Bordeaux's Left Bank. Here, in the district of Medoc, the varietal is the key component of blended wines that also may include some Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and even Malbec and Petit Verdot. Moving slightly south, Cabernet Sauvignon meets Merlot in roughly equal proportions in the red wines of Graves. In both of these Bordeaux regions, the top bottles...
