The title says it all. Not a bad buy. Smooth but it definitely needs to breathe. After it had sat for awhile, it actually tasted great. Smooth and great taste.

See our review of "Adler Fels Buffalo Grove Merlot", these (2) TWO wines are EXACTLY alike even though one is a Cabernet Sauvignon and the other one is a Merlot if you did a blind taste test! This is also a true find; enjoyable with or without food!

Most of these reviews are totally embarrassing!! This is an EIGHT dollar, mass produced, GENERIC Cab!! Get OVER IT!! It has NONE of the fatal thin, acidic or overly "jammy" flaws associated with "value priced" wines. As CA's tenth largest wine producer, OG has learned how to level out the vagaries of vintages at this level of wine making. Also, it is remarkably well balanced for a wine at this price point. It is surprisingly good with typical mid-week cuisine of burgers, roasts and pizza, etc. Probably a tad below acceptable party sipper standards, it will free up some money for higher end weekend "treat" wines. FWIW it also happens to be TW's highest selling "value priced" offering. That means that somebody is drinking it,,,,,,LOTS of "somebodies!!!" Recommended within it's modest limitations. We buy it in half case lots.

Grape flavor predominates with a cherry finish. A very forgetable wine.

This wine was surprisingly good, and had a very good and classic "Napa" Cab flavor. Nice bouquet, hints of oak, initial taste is butter smooth, tannins are very light but noticeable as a good cab should be. I will definitely be buying again.

Drinking this one primarily without food; I found this wine to be a very smooth and drinkable wine - it remains pleasant in the mouth thru the entire bottle - be sure to have a second on hand as it will disappear quickly. At the price it's a quite affordable everyday wine.

not a full bodied, silky kind of cab but very drinkable. Good Tuesday night house wine.

I realize it is an $8 bottle, but it is totally unremarkable and plain. There is nothing "fatal" or unpleasant, but I no reason to ever buy a second bottle when Total Wine lists about twenty in the exact same price range. NEXT!

Medium bodied and easy drinking. Too soft for even an inexpensive cab. Oak Grove Merlot is a much better value wine if you want an easy drinking everyday selection.
