Santa Margherita = Conte Priola Pinot Grigio!!!!!!
If you are looking for a GREAT Pinot Grigio that rivals Santa Margherita (at 1/3 the price) you MUST try Conte Priola Pinot Grigio which you can find at your local Total Wine store (Alpharetta) for $6.99 (750) or $9.99 (1.5 liter). My friends & family LOVE this wine for parties, events and grilling in summer!!!! (A true "crowd pleaser"). Delicious! Fabulous! Wow!!!!
Great value!!!! Amazing quality! FYI: Total Wine offers an ADDITIONAL 10% discount off case purchases! www.totalwine.com (Alpharetta)
I now have a favorite white!
.... and it is this one! We tried it and bought a case for my daughter's wedding and I am in love! The best! Not too sweet, not too tart, an excellent broad palate pleaser!
Where can I purchase this?
I would like to purchase this wine by the case.
Conte Priola, please help me find this
My favorite Pinot Grigio!
Crisp, light taste, easy on the pallate AND the purse. No bite at the end, just an all-around great-tasting wine. My new favorite.
BUY THIS ONE
Italy-Experts say: Crisp, delicate, dry, light-bodied wine has refeshing citrus flavors. I SAY: buy this white by the case! It's only about $6 a bottle, and is one of the best whites I've had!
Good for a pinot grigio
Good wine, great price
Not too sweet not to tangy. Very drinkable.
looked like santa margerhita
accidental pick tasted very nice for 7 bucks
Very good Pinot Grigio
Crisp, light, enjoyable.
Good and inexpensive.
A Tasty Light Delight!

This wine is lighter bodied with less alcohol than the typical Italian PG. Quite pale, with little nose, the well defined structure and rather delicate fruity palate are a welcome surprise. At $8.99 per Magnum, serve it as a very cost effective cool crisp party sipper with light finger fare. Four stars is probably a little high for a wine this soft. But many light wine drinkers will really like it. So four stars it is!!
Conte Priola is a great bargain! Smoother and tastier than the much pricier Santa Margherita! Delicious.
I just don't like the fake cork
My corkscrew is permanently embedded
Great buy for $6.99 !!!***
This wine needs decanted for 1 hour it helps to balance out the wine. This Pinot Grigio was great with the honey brush shrimp we had.White wine tasting sheet score= 87.7
Very light, slightly crisp...
by Jimmy T
I tend towards lighter, smooth, and less dry wines in both red and white.
A very light tasting wine with the slightest bit of crispness, and an even lighter sweetness, but not dry by any means. Very easy to drink. Relatively smooth. However when compared to many other PGs and whites(and certainly Santa Marg) most will find this a bit "watered down" in taste. Seems to lack a fullness that I usually expect in even lighter tasting wines. But if you like a very light ever so slightly crisp wine - this wine will work for you. Seems to have a bit more taste when served very cold after a day or two.
So... my rating is 3 Stars - I drank it all. Would certainly not turn it down if offered. But probably would not buy this wine again until I tried some other PGs in the $7 - 12 price range.
Not bad, not spectacular
Not too bad, but nothing special. It is crisp and light. Good with shrimp scampi or fish.
Nice Italian pinot grigio
light and a little fruity, which is what I want in this type white wine. I bought magnum size for $8.99-good for me!
A wine associate at our neighborhood 'Total Wine & More' recommended this inexpensive bottle. Sweet, light, and fruity. All in all,it is actually a great wine considering I paid $5.99 for it!
Tast like its price (DB)
Very light-bodied, almost watery. Uggh!
no classic pinot grigio taste
I like many light, inexpensive grigios but this is down-right "watery" with only a remote flabby grigio flavor.
