2000 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Saint-Joseph

Medium ruby. Expressive nose combines blueberry, bitter chocolate, leather, smoke and mocha. Juicy and fruit-driven, with good density and a silky texture. Notes of black fruits and dark chocolate. Not overly sweet but quite stylish. Finishes with substantial but sweet tannins and noteworthy persistence.
