About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

($45) Superripe aromas of dried fruits, minerals and charred oak. Fat but quite dry, with very ripe dried fruit flavors and a strong impression of acidity and alcohol. Impressive but almost over the top.
