I opened this almost two hours before we ended up drinking it, with a chicken parmesan and pasta dinner. It was good and went well with the food. It was notably soft, perhaps augmented by the lag between opening and drinking. It tasted almost sweet at times.

Not bad, but not the complex tastes I'd expect from Valpolicella, and heavy on the tannins as well. Wouldn't buy it again.

This is good wine, but it did not make me say "Wow." I would drink it again but it did not surprise me with with special flavors.

Found the first few sips to be rather "biting"...we decided to abandon it for a while and move on to another vintage. However, it did mellow after sitting for an hour or so and was OK after that...Don't think that I will be breaking down the doors at MB to buy another bottle.
