86 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2002

Saturated, dark ruby-red. Slighly porty aromas of roasted black cherry, minerals, tar and flowers. Rich and layered, with a grapey quality and a note of dark chocolate. Quite dry, with elevated alcohol and firm acidity. Could use a bit more nuance. Finishes with some drying tannins and a bit of heat. (Broadbent Selections, Inc., San Francisco, CA)
