Generous in its use of creamy oak and no more frugal with fully ripened fruit, this massive, deeply draughted, showstopper is a wine of real intensity and so very many pieces. Solidly fixed on very pure Cabernet cassis as its fruity lynchpin, it weaves varied elements of toast, cream, cappuccino and sweet tobacco into its long and impeccably balanced flavors. Serious stuff by any standard and built with sturdy tannins that tag it as one to keep for the long haul, it will improve for upwards of a decade and stay alive for twice that long.

This wine is deep, rich and delicious. I thought I was drinking Lewis' famous reserve Cabernet and was surprised to see that it was "regular" Cab. Absolutely fine stuff!

Worth the hunt, for this small production Cab. Big and complex; we love Cabernets at home and this really worked with our grilled steaks. I want to put some down for at least a few years.
