91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2003

($36) Full deep red. Deep, wild, multifaceted nose combines cassis, violet, gunflint, smoke, flowers, game, chocolate and truffle. Silky-sweet and round, with a lush but juicy middle thanks to good ripe acidity. Complex and pliant, with slightly syrah-like dark berry, flint and game flavors. Finishes with sweet, fine tannins and late notes of smoke and minerals.
