About Betz Family Vineyards
At Betz Family Cellars, Bob Betz makes some of Washington's richest and most complete red wines from Bordeaux varieties. His success extends to Syrahs as well; these are at once silky, highly concentrated and wild -- and, along with those of Cayuse, more Rhône-like in style than any others in Washington State.

Origin: Washington
Region: Columbia Valley
91(+?) Points | International Wine Cellar , September/October 2002
($40; 80% cabernet sauvignon; 14.2% alcohol with a healthy pH of 3.64) Saturated, bright medium ruby. Raspberry, black cherry, smoky oak and mocha on the nose. Chewy and spicy on the palate, with a deep core of sappy dark berry fruit. Bright flavors of black raspberry and spicy oak really expand in the mouth. Very long finish features building but smooth tannins and sweet oak.
