I have had this bottle about a half dozen times and every time it left an impression. Dollar for dollar, I consider it my favorite wine.

I found the 2000 to be a bit closed. It was very tannic and not offset enough by the fruit. Decanting really did not change the complexion of the wine. It is velvety with a musty, cellar quality that I like. It's good, but not the best vitnage I have had for Silver Oak....
