Bright, medium-deep red. Briary aromas of red cherry, plum, raspberry and rose petal, with suggestions of stalks and leather and an underswell of forest floor and underbrush. Deeply flavored and pristine on the palate, with layers of intense dark cherry and raspberry, perfectly integrated oak and satiny tannins. A long-term pinot with a compelling velvety mouth feel, and subtle hints of spiciness and meatiness on the finish.
