($26) Deep, soil-inflected aromas of butter, smoke and iodine; this reminded me of the Marcassin chardonnay from Hudson Vineyard. Rich, broad and sweet but light on its feet; a thoroughly ripe, deep chardonnay with impressive depth and nuance. Notes of tropical fruits, grilled nuts, nutmeg and brown butter. Broad, sexy, palate-staining chardonnay.
