More About This Wine
About Domaine Francois Raveneau
Named for its original proprietor, who, sadly, left us in 2000, Domaine Francois Raveneau is a goliath in Chablis. Raveneau's two sons, Bernard & Jean-Marc, now continue the family tradition, maintaining a commitment to natural wine.
89-92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2002
( a blend of 1936 and 1964 plantings) Delicate aromas of white flowers, apple and mint. Dense, spicy and strong, with lovely sweetness of fruit (the wine still carries about 2.5 grams per liter of residual sugar) and a rather extroverted personality. "A bit less austere than usual for this wine," notes Raveneau.
