About Domaine Weinbach
Domaine Weinbach was established in 1610 by the Capuchin monks who also gave their name to the domaine's most prized vineyard, Clos des Capucins. The estate itself got the name Weinbach--which literally translates to "wine brook"--from a little stream that trickles through the property.

Style: White Wine
Grape Type: Gewurztraminer
Origin: France
Region: Alsace
92 Points | International Wine Cellar , November/December 2003
($60) Knockout perfumed nose combines yellow fruits, caraway seed and clove oil. At once powerful and quite fine, with lush, sweet fruit combining great verve and smoothness. Very stylish, spicy gewurztraminer with no phenolic bitterness. Finishes suave and long. Wears its 53 grams of residual sugar gracefully.
