2 stars Points | International Wine Cellar , November/December 2002

($24) Pear nectar and strawberry aromas. In the mouth this is like poached pears glazed with strawberry jam. Softer, rounder, and less dynamic than the Erdener Treppchen Kabinett, but it makes up for this with purity and polish, and a remarkably creamy, jammy, vanilla-tinged finish. This should evolve like a fine 1975 Spatlese. Potential 2 stars.
