($42) Medium red-ruby. Expressive nose melds raspberry, currant, smoked meat, truffle and espresso, with a very ripe smoky element. Sweet but quite firm in the mouth; the bright berry fruit seems a bit youthfully hard, owing to the wines strong spine of acidity. Juicy finish shows firm but fine tannins.
