($85; 100% shiraz Bright medium ruby. Dark raspberry, plum, fruitcake, tar and molasses on the nose. Juicy, tightly wound and very firmly built; the dark berry and fruitcake fla vors began a bit ungiving but showed increasing sweetness in the glass. Finishes firm and quite fresh, with impressive nutty persistence.

Fabulous Shiraz

I've opened two bottles of this beauty so far. 3/04; Deep purple color, dense and full-bodied, with a lingering finish. (92) 5/05: Wow. Even better than the bottle I had last year. Great balance and complexity with a lush velvet finish. (93)

This is very well made wine, the quality is evident but the flavors do not meet with other classic wines in this price range. My rating would be maximum 91 points.
