($75) Bright full ruby. Black raspberry, black cherry, chocolate and sexy oak spices on the nose. Dense and sweet in the mouth; also highly concentrated but comes across as less monolithic than the "regular" bottling, with a flavor of sweet black cherry. Finishes with very suave tannins and excellent persistence. (Banfi Vintners, Old Brookville, NY)
