($188) Light gold. Vibrant, tangy aromas of apple, pear, white peach and minerals. Wound tight right now, only reluctantly offering up flavors of fresh orchard fruits, herbs and pepper. Finishes zesty and long. Seems less deep than the 1997 bottling; is this just in a sullen, youthful stage?

One of the best. Long finish, complex yet accessible today. This is a can't miss special event sipper.

My sweetie and I were very disappointed with this Champagne...It was very bold, almost a peppery taste with a quick finish...I expected more. Loved the Krug and V Cliquot!...Maybe I was soo excited because of the name...Would not buy it again but will continue to dance with Champagne!!!

In fact, these grapes are widely referred to as "international" varieties because they have been planted and imitated all over the world.
