($86) Orange-tinged pink color. Aromas of smoky cherry, strawberry preserves and rooty sassafras are accented by dried spices (bay, tarragon). A fairly rich style, with full body and substantial weight. Shows creamy orange and cocoa flavors, with suggestions of toffee and maple on the back. This dense, powerful Champagne will stand up to rich food but may be a bit overwhelming as an aperitif.
