90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January/February 2003

($40) Saturated bright ruby. Very ripe, musky aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate and spices. Thick, rich, pliant and sweet; approachable already owing to its creamy, concentrated fruit. Not a hugely gripping port but rich and balanced, with generous flavor and solid structure. Hints of chocolate and mocha in the mouth and on the aftertaste. Finishes with lush, spreading tannins and sneaky, building length.
