($80-$90) Medium red, with an amber-greenish rim. Aromas of roasted plum and marzipan, along with some old wood notes. Supple, smooth and rich, but with somewhat odd sweetness. Not old but distinctly exotic. This fat wine has sex appeal but is not up to the performance of this chateau in great years like '28, '45 and '61.
