About Chateau Lafon Rochet
Chateau Lafon-Rochet has always been good. However, since being purchased in 1960 by the Tesseron family (the owners of Pontet-Canet in Pauillac), the wine from this Fourth Growth Bordeaux chateau has been excellent.
89-91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 1998
Saturated, deep ruby-red. Sappy aromas of black cherry, graphite and roasted nuts. Very intensely flavored, dense and velvety, with ripe flavors dominated by black cherry, chocolate and sweet oak. Solid underlying backbone. Finishes firmly tannic and very long.
