($25) Bright ruby-red. Aromas of black raspberry, licorice, sassafras and menthol, with a floral topnote. Offers a fairly supple texture and restrained sweetness, but the flavors of black raspberry, mocha and chocolate are rather unconvincing. The tannins hit the palate reasonably late, but the finish is dry-edged nevertheless. A bit short on fruit and soul.
