($30) Bright medium red. Cherry, spice, chocolate, mocha and a hint of lees on the nose. Lush and supple in the mouth, with surprisingly bright cherry/berry fruit. A fruit bomb of a merlot, with almost pinot-like flavors. Firm finish features ripe tannins. Wears its 15% alcohol gracefully.
